Impacting The Young Generation As A Teacher – Mariam A, 46 Yrs. , Nairobi – Kenya | Ep 3.

What inspired you to pursue this journey, and how did you overcome initial challenges?”

The fact that I loved to see positive change and growth in children. I would see children struggling to understand a concept or an idea and after a session or two, they would understand it and some even take the step to teach others.

I overcame the challenges I faced by being patient, persistent, consistent and focusing on the person other than the process. Having faith that no child is weak and that everything can be taught as long as the teacher and the pupil are willing and there is support for the learner.

Please share a significant moment or decision that played a significant role in your success? The decision to diligently serve the child.

How do you navigate work-life balance and maintain your well-being amidst the success? Plan my time and give my all when the opportunity strikes.

What advice would you give to aspiring women on a similar journey or who dream of the same kind of success? They should be patient, focused and in whatever they do..they should be passionate about it.

In the face of setbacks, how do you stay resilient and continue to thrive in your journey? I just believe that I have to do it ..so I relax a bit then get back to it and PUSH (Persist Until Something Happens).

We are grateful to Mariam for allowing us to share her journey. If you need support in navigating your own journey as a teacher, please let us know and we will share her contacts.
